We have planned this trip for a long time... actually since last time we were in Taiwan visiting Da Lo.  Yu Shan at 3,952M, is the highest mountain in Taiwan.  We didn't know that we cannot just go, we need to apply permits to just go into the mountains, they form one of the biggest national park in Taiwan.  We can only apply the permit within 1 month, thus around Sep 10.  This time, there are 6 of us.  Will spend the 1st night in Taipei and then head for ALiShan ªü¨½¤s.. spend a night with friends in the tea farm... entering into Yushan National Park the 3rd day and will hike around for 4 days.  After that, probably go with Da Lo to the south part of Taiwan for a day and then go back to Taipei.. probably around 6 days/5nights.
