Time
files, we have already come back for 1 week! Quite a busy week.
My mom tripped and hurt her back while we were in France. Got to see
her and accompanied her to the hospital for checking. She's fine now
and will have more testing and check up in the coming month. Updated
all
pictures and wrote our
8-day
trip journal. Go there and check it out. Today is
Stella's last day with the company and we both will go out and join her
big farewell dinner in Taikooshing. Will work on a video for all the
funny clips the 3 IXUS's had taken..
Evening
Just come back from Stella's farewell. A very
warm farewell indeed. A lot of people went, a total of >95 people.
It was a memorable night and I truly believe Stella and us can be friends
beyond the office.

We will
start our France trip around 11 hours from now. It was just like a
few weeks ago that Alan got drawn and won the 2 CX tickets. Things
around us changed with an absurd speed - economy crisis, my dogs'
pass-away, re-engineering in company, we finished our Taiwan hiking trip,
people left, people come..... it was just 5 months ago we launched that
talk-of-the-town product and won the prize .... so that proves thing
happens and shit also happens. If we still spend time in hatred and
fights, it's absolutely ridiculous and a total waste of time... hmmm...
keep smiling and forgive and forget!! So talk again in 2 weeks
time.. in the meantime, if you are interested... check our itinerary

Life without dogs is a relatively new experience
for me. Pepsi was my oldest pet, been with me for 16 full years.
Now I come back to a quiet house, she's not there swaging her tail telling
me what had happened during her day :)... Pepsi was a great friend.
She thought, she's clever and she had unique personality. But all
life has to go some day and she went very peacefully. I guess that's
a relieve.
Time flies and this Friday we are flying to
France. Looking forward to it!

What a week. Pepsi, died on last Tuesday

video was a present journey. A lot
of memories poured back. Pepsi, Sarsae and Toto, may you rest in

Wow.. quite a while since I have updated my
diary. So lazy... :D The Taiwan trip has completed. Quite an
unforgettable experience. Go check my

for more details. Going with the recent economy recession, our
company, as the others, is undergoing some changes and 'reengineering'
again. The plan will be revealed next week so everyone is putting up
their antennas. Watched 2 movies lately: Body of Lies last week and
Tropic Thunder just now. Very different movies. Ben Stiller
and Robert Downey are funny. Tom Cruise is amazing too.. Check My

Updated 'On the Mark' of our Taiwan trip today.
Really looking forward to it. As Sarsae had gone, don't want to
leave Pepsi alone in the flat (Alan's parents used to come to our house to
feed them and watered our plants etc a couple times a day when we both
were out-town), I am bringing her a holiday trip to my mom's place :-),
Tung Tung is thrilled and said would stay at grandma's place when Pepsi's
there. Will see... Pepsi is an old woman now.. too old for a 5
year-old I guess.....

Friday night... movie night! We went watch
Eagle Eye.. by Shia Lebouf. Quite an exciting movie. Although
a lot of critics said that the movie had a crappy ending.. but still the
whole movie has had enough to keep your adrenaline pumping the whole 2

To
prepare for our Taiwan hiking trip, we planned to go practice every week
till our trip. We went from home to Pak Kok Village and came back.
Takes about 3 hours usually. On the road this time, we met a new
friend, a Labrador named Jennifer. She followed us since Tai Peng
Village. I thought she's living around and came out to play.
She had a dog tag on her collar with her name and a couple of tel numbers.
She kept us company until we reached home. We tried to lead her to
the road back to Tai Peng but she insisted to stay. She didn't know
how to get home! Alan eventually called one of the numbers on the
tag and found her owner. He came and picked her up later. What

Originally Alan had arranged a night hike @ Lamma with Kevin & Milly... we
all thought that we were too old for the game ... thus we changed and
Esther called a couple days ago asking us if we would go anywhere, so we
may as well ask all of them to come today. We first go a short hike
through a couple of mountains and we walked about for 3 hours. Then
we have BBQ on our roof top. Mr Hung Kee & his wife joined at around
9pm. We drank a few bottles and ate all the food I had prepared....

I have
a weird dream yesterday night. I dreamt of an ex-schoolmate whom, I was told
last year, was dead some time end of 2006 or beginning 2007. It was
really weird but not scary. He talked to me in my dream about
wanting something and asked me a question. As I am going to have
another dinner gathering with old school folks next next Monday.. I am
going to share this with them to see if we have to do anything ..... :p

has got her glasses!

I bought
Tung Tung to have her 1st eye test & chek-up. People always say that
it's the best to have this done to children before they are 6 years-old.
And I need one for myself anyway. The last time I had an eye
check-up was 10 years ago! We getting old should have the body parts
checked up once in a while. Turned out I am still okay. Got
astigmatism 散光.. otherwise, no shortsightedness or farsightedness.
Tung Tung has got no shortsightedness also but some astigmatism and very
minor farsightedness. And these don't matter.. she has though lazy
eyes. Doctor suggested she wear glasses so as to correct her lazy
eyes. He said that eyes of children before they reached 8-years-old
were
still developing. Thus wearing glasses now might have a chance to
correct her lazy eyes and when she became older, she could decide whether
to wear glasses but if we did nothing now.. she would definitely need an
aid. Tung Tung likes purple and pink and we chose a pair of ClickBuz
from Italy. A beautiful pair of frames. Tung Tung is so thrill
about it. She really loves the glasses.

Olympic Day
again ^v^.. stayed home watching the last day of this Game... I really
think it's the greatest game of all. Probably it's the time zone.
And secondly it's because it's HERE! For some, which I think is
in-excusable, unexpected reasons, I have to facilitate some training.
I am no trainer so have to spend extra time for preparation.
However, I have been extremely busy these days as a new program is
launching and I have 2 markets to go along with the implementation.
So I have just started to have TTT last week and
start really work on it a couple days ago. Fortunately and
unfortunately, Gale Nuri was here and I have got a few more days to spare.
So have to spend a few hours today to go over things again. Oh by
the way, Tung Tung called this morning at around 11:30am.. she told me
that mama (my mom) was not feeling well yesterday night and she has stayed
awake to 'watch' her. I talked to mom, she's okay and we were both
touched by Tung Tung. She was indeed looking after mama and said to
take her to see a doctor at midnight when her pain didn't go away.
She's only 5.. and I am thinking that I was sort of retard when I was 5...
hehe

I have got my beautiful iPhone on Tuesday.
Been playing with it :-) since then. It has got a lot of 'not got
this function's but it's just simply awesome! Downloaded quite a few
application and the worst 'not got this function' of all is that you
cannot make your own ringtone. You have to purchase a song from
iTune and then pay again to change that to a ringtone. It's not the
worst.. the worst is that iTune Store is not available to HK! So I
have been searching the web.. found this software iPhone Ringtone Maker
2.5.1 for iPhone 3G. Installed it and played with it but somehow I
have downloaded some malware the same time... spent almost half a day to
wipe them out! Now I believe it's safe! And I have got my
ringtones on my beautiful white iPhone hehe....

is Olymphic day! We have not even stepped foot outside.
Staying home watching the games and at the same time I am doing research
for our Nov France trip. Quite good.. I have decided to go Champagne
instead of Red this time. As Reims is a lot closer to Paris than

them was an Elderton.. will try that again.. and by the way... I think I
am getting a 16GB White iPhone... hehe... just registered.. got a good
offer thru AMEX so now waiting for the pick up information.....
waiting..waiting........... and oh.. we are all LPC ma.. so no one was
thinking about this.. Chris.. being a GM and B45 and all.. announced that
it's going to be LPC 10th Anniversary in 2009! well indeed LPC
formed well before 1999 but that's okay.. whatever... so Chris suggested
an off-site meeting to celebrate.... everyone was so excited about it...
so Connie will be our travel expert and I am the planner... Chris of
course will take care of everything at his end.. probably include a night
in KL and 2 in Kuching or any one of the Eastern beaches... wow... so it
will be Feb.. let's wait & see..... ha so many waiting....

colleague, Kaine, came from Sydney and is now working in the office for a
few days. I went out with him and his friend Gavin for dinner in
Langham Place - my first time there in this shopping mall.. which was a
maze to me. I was lost for a while in the escalators. We have
some Cantonese food and great catch-up.

Life more
or less back to normal now. Finished a 1.5 week business trip to
India. Got lots of work in HK ahead at least for the next 2 months.
Anyway. So in the India trip this time I got to visit Agra.
The place was really amazing. It has got 3 World Heritage Sites and
I had done 2, Taj Mahal of course and the Agra Fort (Red Fort).
Quite a trip with a couple of hiccups. They were good to make the
trip even more memorable (although I was quite nervous when I was still in
the car :p). There was another trivia. The day before I came
back, Alan SMS me saying that Tung Tung had called him at home asking the
whereabouts of me and she was crying... She didn't see me on Saturday and
she kind of missed me :D. So as soon as I arrived, I called her and
we were talking from the moment I got off the plane until I arrived at the
custom gates! Quite funny. And btw, watched Mummy 3 on Friday
and it sucked... so boring!

I will be flying to India for 1.5 weeks business trip. Got a very
packed schedule and hopefully things will go well. Will have a

YEAH YEAH
YEAH!! We have had a big celebration party tonight at the Grand Hyatt
Grand Ball Room for launching the AMEX CX co-brand card. Good party
& good show!! And most of all, Alan won the grand prize of tickets
for 2 to Paris!! He was getting his prize from YC on stage and I was
greeted & hugged by our beloved colleagues and I was even called on the
stage... so embarrassing! But nevertheless so HAPPY!! Champs
Elysees, we are coming for you!!! Da Lo called just now and we
chatted about these disasters and his sponsorship to an orphanage in
Cambodia.. so proud of having a friend like him!

with the Bhambri's again today! Alan's favorite program for friends
visiting us is hiking on Lamma Island! We took the 10am ferry to Sok
Kwu Wan together and started the journey! It was an extremely sunny
but hot day. The hike was very pleasant. Clear sky & blue sea.
We have Indian lunch at Spicy Island. We have a great time
together!!

Today I
took the Bhambri's (Shweta & Visha) to Stanley in the morning. It
was so hot today and we spent around 2 hours there and took bus no. 6 back
to Wanchai, where we took a tram to Causeway Bay. Visha was very
fond of the Octopus.. amazed that it could be used everywhere.. making
life so easy. We have had lunch in El Cid .. quite tasteful or maybe
we were hungry! I dropped them off in Times Square and I headed for
my mom place. So hot a day!

colleague of mine, Shweta & her husband Vishal, visited HK from India.
Alan & myself + the whole team went out to have dinner with the couple.
We went to Jade Garden in Star House. Got a table with a spectacular
HK night view! Vishal is a vegetarian and we ordered some very
traditional Chinese cuisine, e.g. sweet & sour pork, ginger & onion
chicken, steam fish etc... and of course a few vegi dishes. The food
was so great! Will try it some day again!

Mr Hung
Kee's birthday is today. We went out with the whole Chau's family for
dinner in Causeway Bay. Bought a bottle of .L'Occitane Eau de
Toilette for men.. a mixture of lavender & wood. After the delicious
Vietnamese dinner, we went back and have drinks in Spicy Island. I
baked a cake yesterday night for the occasion. We laughed and talked
until midnight!

Can't
believe I could be that busy! Talk all day to find myself exhausted
on my way back home everyday! So many things are happening at the
same time. So glad to see that people like the dragonboat video.
I am so addicted to making mv. Cat called today and said she had
started working again! Great news.. so happy for her. Not that
she needs the money I think, work gives a goal to our life (well of course
if you don't get to hate your job) and we chatted a bit... promised her to
make a video for her so see when she will send my tons of pics then.....

Yesterday
was Dragon Boat Festival 端午節, the company had
sent a team to compete in the Dragon Boat Race at Discovery Bay and the
WIN committee had organised a team of cheerleaders to support them.
I was one of them and after I think almost 19 years I found myself at
Discovery Bay again! After the disastrous Saturday (HK rained 1/10
of the a year average rainfall in 1 morning!!), you couldn't ask for a
better day. It had been on the verge of raining but it didn't.
No sun nor rain though a little bit too hot. But that's okay we
could live with that. Both our mix team and women team were unable
to get to the finals but that's okay, they had done the best they could
and we all had a great time!

Past week
has been extremely crazily busy. Glad to be end of week.
Saturday, as usual, spent doing housework cleaning, grocery shopping
etc... played with Tung Tung and her friend, a neighbor, Kwan Lam.. a very
smart boy. Today we went shopping.. my pair of Goretex were
broken.... it only lasts for 2 years! I have got a HK$500 Sogo
coupon thus we

and see what it has got. Finally got a pair of Columbia.. no Goretex
nor Omni-tex.. just a normal light weight hiking shoes. Quite nice
indeed. And then we walked for a little more while and found this
beautiful knife! It's a Kyocera Advanced Ceramic knife.. the one I
bought is all white... even the handle is white.. so beautiful. It
is the most expensive utensil I have in my kitchen (except those electric
appliances of course).. the knife was originally $898, or so it claimed...
now it is $698.. still very expensive .. but it feels so great .. I tried
in the demo counter and it cut ginger, very hard vegi very easily... So I
have it now. I tried to use it this evening .. .wow..

went hiking. We fancy the hexagonal columns along the cove at High
Island Reservoirs. The landscape is breathtaking. But we have
to go through a lot of difficult small paths and non-paths to get there.
Tough trip... so dead tired.. but rewarding!

Been a
while since I have updated my diary. Have had a bad week. I
tripped and all fours on the ground of pier and hurt my knee and right
foot. And then I banged my right elbow into a wall at home.. if you
can believe it.. my elbow had grown into a basketball and it hurt like
hell. My mom has a bottle of chinese herbal poison which was bought
by my sister from Malaysia called 千里追風油..
works like magic. My mom helped me put on some on Saturday night and
I put it on daily for 4 days.. the basketball has now completely gone and
it healed almost completely! And then the earthquake in Sichuan..
all these sad stories.. I was watching the other day and it was showing
the clip of the discovery, rescue and death of
陳堅.. the discovery and rescue took almost 4-5 hours
and after he was taken out from the ruins, it took around 10 minutes and
he died. He had been completely conscious and somber when people
found him and he even asked to speak to his pregnant wife on the phone.
The journalist who was there all the way and one of those who continuously
encouraged him had shaked his dead body over and over again yelling at him
to wake up... life is so vulnerable.. I would trip and not able to stand
as a result... I would bang my head to something and get unconscious and
never wake up again. Why do I still care about trifles little things
around and mad at something and nothing?

and today, I baked some cheesy buns which are extremely yummy. I gave around 8 buns to mom
today and Tung Tung just called me and said 大姑媽,
你整d麵包好好食呀! (aunt, the bread you made was extremely
delicious!). I
promised her to teach her how to make it next time when she's on Lamma.
After we have had noon tea with mom and my sister in Kwai Fong, we went to
an Adidas factory outlet in Cheung Sha Wan. Me & Alan both bought a pair of NB running shoes (I of course have the
yellow one) and I
bought another YY badminton shoes. Nice prices.

sowed 3 small flowerbeds today with heliotropium & aster seeds. Hopefully
they will sprout soon. I have sowed some I think was Dahlia a week
ago and it sprouted 3 days after!. I am very looking forward to move
to a new home where I will turn the roof top into a garden... one of my
many dreams indeed. But I am not that good a gardener... anyway I am
continuously learning from failure

watched Iron Man. Really a good movie. It has all the right
sense stimulators. It is a good 126 minute movie and you don't feel
the time. Robert Downey Jr can really be charismatic in a flamboyant
and handsome way. The only 2 other movies I watched played by him
were Gothika and most recently Zodiac.

dinner today with Mr Hung Kee's family. The last time I saw them was
the farewell dinner with Julie! Wawa has cooked a pot of

not exactly delicious but wow 川貝
really works... since last time I was sick, even though I had recovered, I
have been occasionally coughing and my throat is not feeling very well.
Chinese herbs and medicine really are amazing.

I watched
a show called
Young@Heart
tonight. It's about the Young @ Heart Chorus led by Bob Cilman.
Began in 1983 with the members all lived in an elderly housing project in
Northampton, MA called the Walter Salvo House. The current
performers in Young@Heart range in age from 72 to 88. A very
touching story. One of the members died of cancer during the shooting
time and it was just a few days before the show was on. One of the
seniors sang 'Nothing Compares 2 u'. So touching and sad.. I think
she sang better than Sinear Oconnor! If you are interest, this is

was here this weekend. We went to the beach to play and I must admit
I am old now. I was so tired after playing with a 5-year-old.

up a 'challenge' to stay 'fit'.... I have started cooking and preparing
our lunch boxes 2 weeks ago. It feels quite good to have home food
instead of dining out. Saving some bucks is one thing but it feels
so healthy and light but at the same time tasty and full. I love
it.... got to continue doing that. Hmmmmmm.. but Tracy is saying we are so
boring.....

lunch date today with Carvian, Betty, Elaine, WY, Rita, Tiffany and a few
more colleagues at the HK Japanese Club in CWB. Delicious Japanese
food, very tasty shrimp sashimi and a lot of others.. In the evening, I
joined the dinner with Carvian, Vicky & Lisa again in CWB! These
were b'day gatherings for Carvian... Really enjoyed the food and the

Today was supposed to be a LPC
outing. Weather forecast said yesterday that today would have rain
and it was raining indeed in the morning thus Raymond, TK & William
decided not to come the last minute. Teddy & Peter came with their
families and Teddy's children played with Tung Tung and they were having

A busy week! I was sick
last week so a lot of meetings were rescheduled to this week. This
weekend some ex-colleagues and existing colleagues are coming to Lamma
with their children. So Tung Tung will be here too. Looking

Wow! I have not updated
my daily since last week, to be precise, since I was sick. I have
been sick for almost 1 full week! Coughed my lung out! Have
started to get better only since Friday. Today, me, Alan & Kevin
went to hike NP360 Rescue Trail. A trail they both have wanted to go
for a long time. Today is pleasant but very hot. I ran out of
breathe a few times and have to rest for longer than we should.
Fortunately I was able to make it after a few rests. Phew... Check

Start coughing today!
Guess my body has eventually lost! Kirsty had made a stop in HK on
her way to Canada for business and thus spent 2 days with her, I meant in
the office! We did go out with team for dinner on Thursday.
Had a great time! Made a new video today with the photos taken in
Huangshan in 2006. Quite nice. I am really addicted!

2008 Post long-weekend depression!
I heard
this symptom from a colleague (on Facebook.. hehe) and it best describes
me! Got some gremlins at my throat this morning and in order not to
be a walking virus spreader, I decided to stay home to work from home.
Feels quite good! I am now listening to the 155th song today!
Feeling better now too. Got to pop some pills before I go to bed.
Should be okay by tomorrow. ^v^

Spiderwick Chronicles today. A very funny and

We then went to Red Cross centre to give blood. It was 2:30pm when
we got there in Causeway Bay. So many people! It was 6pm after
we finished! Anyway, it's a meaningful thing to do so I haven't been
getting made for being made to wait today, for a change... :p

have LPC dinner again. Teddy is in town and 11 of us came out to
have dinner in Central together. A very good catch up with everyone.

2008 Hiking in Lantau
My feet are sore now. We went to hike the
waterfalls in Lantau which is called Man Cheung Po. Very beautiful
scenes but we have to climb and crawl to make it. So dead tired
now... but my hair is now still wet.. so may as well upload the pictures

Just got back from the farewell dinner for Florence.
I was indeed a little bit flattered that I was being invited. The
dinner was hosted by Florence's department... thus I had no business
there. Thus I was quite pleased that I was asked to go and I of
course went la! Very nice restaurant, House of Jasmine in Harbor
City. The one we had wanted to go last time we were there in TST.
Should go again sitting outside. I like open space... quite nice
food too. I enjoyed the evening. Took the 11:30pm ferry back
home.

reach home by now. Today has been an extremely busy day.. well

Today another farewell lunch with Florence... my mentor in my Sparks days.
She took me to AMC.. wow... we were sitting on the sun deck overlooking
Aberdeen harbour and eating our buffet!

& Julie + friends watched Santana Live in HK tonight.
精彩!! I was (still
am) so tired.. stood and swayed from the beginning till the very end.
The show ended at 11pm (started at around 8:20pm) So tired! Julie's
friends were to farewell her tonight after the concert and Kevin went with
them in their cars.. and I got back by Airport Express on my own. I
got to Central at around 12midnight and got a call from Kevin telling me
that they were still in the cars and not even reached Disney yet!!
Traffic jam for whatever reasons! Lucky I didn't ride with them!

seen Tung Tung for over 2 weeks! We played for a long time yesterday
at mom's place. She is now a 5-year old and talks non-stop.

Returned from the 10-day Thailand trip. An
exciting holiday + wonderful business trip. Done some crazy shopping
& have to go broke for a while! We spent 4 wonderful days on Koh
Samet. Been to almost most of the accessible beaches on the island.
Found this beautiful beach (the picture). It's called Ao Thian.
Breathtaking! Coming days are going to be busy too.... got to work out the
Thai album la, videos la, Julie is leaving so probably some help-outs la,
go watch Carlos Santana (GREAT!!) la, go to the wedding banquet of my
schoolmate la........

Haha... we will take the 9:30am ferry and meet the
others at HK Station & Kowloon Station respectively... the flight is
12:45noon and Milly has complained that we will be at the airport too
early!! Well.. someone wants to go Plaza Premium Lounge ma.... Will
spend 4 days from today at Koh Samet... staying in a hotel called Le
Vimarn... suppose to be a nice hotel.. and then meeting another group of
friends (another 5!!) in Pattaya for lunch on Saturday on our way back to
Bangkok.. and then meet my colleague in BKK on Sunday going to the local
Thai floating market.. sound exciting!!!!!!!!

Another busy day. Today we have a big feast
(lunch) with Catherine who will be leaving the company on Feb 29. I
am going to miss her 'official' farewell dinner on Feb 29 as I will be on
my way to home from Bangkok that day. Thus I organised a less formal
farewell lunch today. And during the time when Teddy is in HK in
March.. LPC will have another dinner with her. And today is Julie's
first day being non-AMEX.. after these 19 years! Unbelievable.
A friend told me that no one will work that long for a company... and I
was telling you that there are quite a bunch of people not just like me, they are even longer tenured than me.... We
have been talking about personal brand and it really takes time to build
one of your own... I believe I have one (LPC of LPC!!! haha)....hmmmmm...
and you have to listen to Shayne Ward these days... HIs 2nd album
Breathless is really breath-taking. The theme song Breathless a
must-listen... and Melt the Snow can really melt you... on and on... a
very good looking young man with a beautiful voice.... And 6 of us are
heading off to Thailand tomorrow! Will have another update on Feb

2008 HK Marathon!
Alan has,
for the 1st time, participated HK Marathon this year. He is a
walker, he walked 4 years' Trailer Walker but has never run. He ran
the 10km this year of which the route is said to be the best amongst all
these years as it doesn't need to pass through the polluted tunnels.
His start time was 6:40am (the slowest batch!) and we slept in my
brother's place yesterday night. I took his stuff and saw him off at
6:35am at Tin Hau. Hang around at the starting point for a while and
headed for the Finish Point to wait. Took some
photos but I was
distracted by the 2nd Runner Up of Half Marathon and the next minute Alan
was running in front of me!! I missed him!!! Damn....

and we have lion dances in the office too. Although today is
Valentine's Day, we do not have any particular 'activities'. Well

Today is
年初二. We went to watch Sweeney
Todd. Johnny Depp is really good, I consider him as one of my idols not
for no reason. A bloody movie and a bloody funny movie. The
music is also good. Johnny Depp has a good voice. He chose to
interpret Sweeney Todd in his punk rock way. Read some critics about
the movie and said that he indeed was doing very well for someone who has
not been doing musical and have a music coach before. Must see!

恭喜發財!Gong Xi Fa Cai!! Hong Kong is very
cold these days. It's only 8C today, the 5th coldest Chinese New
Year since HK has a record. It's tradition to have firecrackers to
expel bad luck and demons away. Although it's illegal now in HK to
light up firecrackers in HK, it's the most celebrated events in old
villages, like Lamma. We always go down 15 minutes before 12midnight
and watch firecrackers. It's amazing... Yesterday night it was very
cold.. we watched and yelled with everyone on the street. Today we
do the usual 'rituals'. Go over to Alan mom's place and then to my
mom's place.. Got back at 7pm.. still very full. Have had a lot of 蘿蔔糕.

Can't
believe today is the last day of Jan 08. Time really can fly, can't
it? Been too lazy to write these days. Just Tuesday I went
shopping with Julie, Carvian, Bonny & Alison at Harbour City, where AMEX
has launched a very good promotion there. Shopped 'til 9:30pm and we
decided to eat at 翡翠拉麵. We
have a staff promotion that if we spend >$500 we are entitled to a chance
to win a airticket. Last order was 10pm and we asked to have our
check at 10:30pm. The bill was $455 and we raised a commotion and
eventually ordered a couple of desserts + a drink (as the kitchen was
closed). The bill was then $520 and Carvian took out her AMEX to pay. Then the
waitress said, "We do not take AMEX!"

(Pe.. you've got me!) in concert! Marvelous! The stage was
beautiful and grand. HK Coliseum, indoor venue can never have such a
good and large stage. Haven't seen him on stage for a long time.
It's an outdoor arena. I brought my camera but the organiser
prohibited photography. No cameras... Took a few shots anyway before
it ended.

She said she was going to give that to her last week but she had still not

too old so I better find her a new one. Got this lovely purple
Samsung. Simple functions, cheap and chic.. just around HK$900.

I am back! Sydney trip was fantastic!
Met with my colleagues and some other business heads & leaders. Very
fruitful. And I stayed with Silvia over the weekend and she & Steve
took me to the Blue Mountains and beaches on the North (and South) ..
although the weather had been very abnormal, it was between 18-25C vs.
>30C usually. Anyway, it was cool and very comfortable and I liked
it. Going to put up the photos and videos I made in a short while.

Got a call this morning at 8am so we got into the office at 7:40am.
I watched the movie 'The Kingdom' by Jamie Foxx. It was really a
great movie. It talked of a team of FBIs including Jamie Foxx and
Jennifer Garner went into Saudi Arabia to investigate a bombing massacre
by suicide bombers. A real suspense. You have to hold your
breathe with the characters. A must see recently.

Toto, Julie's dog, has gone today. She was my mother's but since
Tung Tung had become allergic, Julie had adopted Toto. She was 10
year-old 3 years ago. Toto was a fat and kind dog. She was
kind of stupid but very loyal. Julie & me watched her sleep slowly
and go away. May she rest in peace... We are going to miss her.....

Birthday!!
Happy Birthday! Today is Alan's birthday. The choco cake I
made yesterday was failed! It stuck with the mould and would not come
out!! I made another round sponge cake this morning and it was okay.
Kevin, Mikael, Julie & Esther went with us to YSY beach to have BBQ.
I have marinated a lot of chicken wings, pork chop & a lot of vegies ..
they were delicious! I brought with me a writing icing. We
wrote on the cake and we have had a nice time!

business trip to go, Sydney this time, before the year ends. Will be
quite a trip. Sil (Alan's boss) invited me to stay at her 'ranch'
for the weekend. I want to go to Hunter Valley with my Japanese
girls... and most of all, I wish that the Sydney/HK flight can be
confirmed on the Saturday before X'mas so that I can take a few days off
to visit Da Lo and Margaret in Auckland! Let's see!

recently love making cakes. Week before last week we went to Wing On
Department and bought quite a lot of stuff. It was the 100th
Anniversary of the store and a lot of stuff were really selling at very
bargain
prices. We bought eventually a oven (a beautiful stainless steel
oven), a new rice cooker and a dessert making machine. Wow a lot of
toys to play with! I am as I speak making a lemon blueberry cake!

I went to the dentist to have my right lower wisdom tooth pulled out!!
Scary.. very scary! The tooth wouldn't give in and thus the dentist

computer works fine! But the sound card was crashed. Still
need to get a new sound card. Today is my bday. Alan took me
to have lunch buffet in a hotel in Causeway Bay. Wow, the place was
swamped with people. Today seems to be some festival of Indonesian
people. Victoria Park and the whole Causeway Bay was full of women
dressed in traditional Indonesian costume. People mountain people
sea! We than went to watch Hairspray. A great movie! The
2 hours were filled with music, songs and dances. Check out the

motherboard (hehe), a new display card + 2GB ram. Haha! As it has

RAM was not working. I have been doing a lot video editing lately so

Tung Tung, a 4.5 year old, to bake a chocolate cake today! She was
good and very serious in measuring the ingredients and the mixing was
really good. We made 2 cakes (15cm) and ate the 1st one off
immediately. Half of the second one we brought home to her dad &

like yesterday that we were climbing Mt. Everest! I am going to make
another business trip to Tokyo on Sep 25, yes, during Mid-Autumn Festival!

to watch Jacky Cheung 張學友
concert last Sunday (Sep 2). Only after we had arrived at the
coliseum that we found that the concert was cancelled at the very last
minute as Jacky was sick. Eventually the last 2 concerts were
cancelled and would be replaced by another 2 shows in Jan 08. I went
to Hunghom to exchange the tickets for the Jan show today. Last week
I had been very busy in playing the videos of our Tibet trip.
Finished and I am quite satisfied with them... am trying to put them on my

went watching Transformers the movie with Pippen. Great exciting
one. Pippen's friend said that it's the best movie of the Century!

couple days off and I went to the beach with Tung Tung & mom. We had
a great time! The water was not so good today but Tung Tung was so
thrilled to be in the sea and swam like crazy (if you could call that

boss Kirsty is in town. I went with her to Stanley yesterday morning
and then The Peak in the afternoon. It was a very sunny and bright
day and even though I live here, I still finds the views spectacular and
unbeatable. At night, we have had dinner with Jean, one of the best
leaders we have never had in HK. He is leaving for Canada and we
grabbed the chance to have a gathering with him.

both took a day off to help Alan's parents moving home. They are
moving into a flat very close to us. It rained today but it's not too bad.

imagine that I choked up when I
was listening to the radio this morning replaying the news summarising
what was happening on Jun 4, 1989!! It was that which prevented me
from visiting China until very recently. It was that which caused
millions of HK people to migrate...

dinner meeting today talking about our Tibet trip. So this time we
do not have to wait for 3 years (like our plan for the Huangshan trip last
year!). Hopefully we really can make it in August!

Yesterday
night, I went with Julie to Waterfront (www.waterfrontlamma.com) for
dinner. Mr Hung Kee was there and we drank until 1:30am!! We
said to have breakfast together this morning and eventually we have
afternoon tea instead. We chit & chat for a while and Hung Kee's
wife, Jenny was going to cook us dinner so we went back again at 8pm.

famous roast pigeon from Hang Lok Yuen.. very delicious feast!! Went

flies! so very tired now.. have had a very long conference call today from
4:30pm until 7:30pm! Today was my 2nd Jap quiz and I have not
studied in the past week! It would be really amazing if I will pass!

computer has refused to work for almost 2
weeks
now! I have almost given up and wanted to take the MB to Asus.
I tried one last time today after the advices from my 2 computer expert
consultants, Kevin & Pippen. I pulled the RAM, dusted them
carefully. In short, it works now after I have plugged the RAM
back!!! Since I lost my wallet, now I
have replaced my Octopus & ferry monthly ticket. I have yet to
replace my 回鄉証.. Alan helped me book a time on
Apr 12. And hopefully, our trip this
year will be Tibet. Still working for the most feasible time and
members of the trip etc.

I have
stopped writing for a week! My computer broke down last Thursday...
The weather has been too humid.. my computer simply refused to boot!
I have given up trying and wait for 1 day
when my mood comes then to try to fix it..
Out of luck.. I tried to boot it again today
although I was extremely tired today.. it worked!! the lovely beet
sound was there! I have to setup the bios again.. probably the
motherboard was short because of humidity and/or dust who knows... I will
blow dry it this weekend! Yeah yeah!

Tung Tung
is here since Friday. I started my Jap lesson on Friday and mom
brought TT over to the HK MTR station and if not for Ringo, we would
definitely not able to take the 930 ferry... thanks! We started the
day at around 8:30am.. we 2 went to 飲茶 in
Sampan.. then do the usual to clean the house and the roof top. We took
the 12noon ferry to Aberdeen for groceries. TT played in the
children's playground next to the ferry pier for almost an hour before we
took the 4pm ferry back to the island. Tonight, I cooked and invited
Alan's mom & dad over for dinner. We both were very sleepy and have gone
to bed early. Before we slept.. TT msn with her dad,

My first full day in the Quality Team! I have 1/1s
with some of my team almost all day today! Great conversations! This
is really festive seasons, apart from the coming dinner which I am now
organising with my ex-classmates, I am also having a dinner with LPCs members,
old and new together! Looking forward to them and Alan is going to miss
them all as he's now still in KL!

A busy
day. Continue my yoga lesson after work until almost 8pm and worked past
9pm. So couldn't catch the 9:30pm ferry but the 10:30pm one.. just got
home and felt very tired. Apart from that, got 2 special calls today, one
from my ex-classmate, whom I had not been in touch with since I left school!
Got his telephone no. from another classmate during the last gathering and I
sent a CNY SMS to him earlier. He called back! What a surprise!
Another call was my 'outbound' call to an ex-colleague before I started working
in my existing company. We agreed to meet tomorrow night for dinner!

I like today. I have also shown briefing Julie how to start making a
web page. She is now burning her midnight oil to try it. Alan
is now in KL, I went with Julie to Waterfront for dinner. After we
have dinner, we have a few drinks until just now (11:30pm!) with Mr & Mrs
Hung Kee. Have a few good laugh and now a little drunk and need to
take a good bath and have a nice sleep. Goodnight!

on our roof top again. There were 7 of us, Alan's parents, us, Julie

have lunch at the Butterfield's. A very nice lunch with a lot of
food. Alan has a friend visiting from NY and he is having dinner
with him + some friends. Ringo is going to
Hokkaido in CNY. I am lending him 'my' 4G CF so met him today before
I took the 8pm ferry. Got home and Curtis is here. He is
indeed sitting next to me playing Alan's computer for some on-line games.

First day work after our Sapporo holiday. We have
dinner in Kornhill with some colleagues tonight. We have ordered a set
menu, 魚翅佛跳牆餐. Original price was $2680 for a
table of 12. And the restaurant has a weekday promotion for this menu to
have a discount of $1000 off if we ordered this menu! We brought over 2
bottle of red wines and they waived the corkage. So it's very very value
for money! We have a nice time sharing ghost stories and other gossip.
Got home on the 11:30pm ferry... So no time to work on my trip journal tim!
Will try to finish it tomorrow.

Tung Tung's 4th birthday
My AV amplifier was not
working properly. I have today brought it to Wo Kee Hong in Kwai Chung for
maintenance & repair. Extremely heavy!!! It's Tung Tung's 4th
birthday and I bought her to choose her birthday cake... as a 4-year-old got to
have bold emphasis on 'bday' otherwise she wouldn't understand that it's for
her.

We went yum cha
this morning. We were still in Japanese time.. got up at 7am (i.e. 8am in
Japan)! We went to give blood today. It is my 11th time. I
started late though, but have been keeping to go 2 or 3 times a year. On
the other hand, it is Alan's 51st time!!! I am still working on the
photos.. I have 750+ photos in my camera + there are a lot of short clips &
photos in Alan's... I am working hard..

also organised a belly dance class. I am one of the committee members and
thus should participate! It has been almost 4 years since I have my last
yoga class. After that, we went to Pizza Hut to have the crab meet pizza,

was here yesterday night so we went yum cha this morning with Julie & Esther.
I felt like barbeque today! Very cold and sunny. Barbeque on the
beach
was
the no. 1 pass-time. It was only me & Alan. I normally like to grill
fresh bread so I made a dough with flour and beer! We headed to the beach
at around 4pm. Under the sun, it was indeed hot! After the sun went
down, the air quickly cooled down and by the time we left at around 8:30pm, it
was freezing cold. For the 1st time, we didn't bring any canned drinks.
Instead, Alan bought his beloved gas stove and we made tea! Hot tea +
barbeque... yummy@!

today. We did a little bit last minute pre-Sapporo trip shopping. I
got a down jacket today (indeed my 1st down jacket ever!) and a ski pants.
Not that we are going to ski.. we may only have time for onsen (hot spring).
We have today found that Ben Stiller's new movie, Night at the Museum, is
going to show on Feb 15. We watched the trailer and it is funny!

Yesterday night
I went to the thank you dinner organised by Social Club. The food was
good. We watched the video of our performances! Awesome! I had
lost the sense of time and had to rushed to catch the 10:30pm ferry by taxi as I
didn't want to be too late.
Today we have
gone to watch Blood Diamond.
It is surprisingly good. The Supporting Male Role nominee, Djimon Hounson,
is very good. I think he should get the Oscar.

I have received a lot
of congratulations this couple of days. Out of which, I am the happiest to
hear from a colleague whom I knew some years back when he was sent to HK for
training in my team. He is a very nice man and after he went back to
Tokyo, we stayed in touch for a while and he had helped me a couple of times.
Then he told us that he was leaving to further his study. Now my change of
role announcement has found its way to him and he surprised me by sending me his
congratulations over! He is now still working in the company and ask me to
visit him if I were in Tokyo! and you bet I will! He is indeed
sitting next to the colleagues in my team in Japan!

have talked about is now confirmed! I am going to take up a new role to
lead the quality teams in 3 markets, HK, India & Japan. In my
company, it's rare to have a regional position which is in HK and this is what
attracts me.
A rainy day.
Today we have got a meeting in Causeway Bay in the afternoon. Finally left
at around 6pm and the street was obviously cooler. Don't like these wet
days!

business day. What made the day special was that I have had dinner with
Ringo, one of my old classmates whom I have connected these days. We have
a nice quiet dinner in Lei King Wan. There were just so many things to
say... we filled each other in the gaps between now and last time we met.
It must be some 20 years ago, actually it has been since we left school!
Coincidently, another old classmate called while we were talking!

A lazy day.
Went down to 南華園 for breakfast. After that Alan
took Julie's new computer continuing his mission to fix it's online problem.
We all decided that buying a router was the solution. We went out at
3:30pm.. After we have arrived at SSP, wow.. it was crowded. It's the
2006 Computer Festival. So many people!! We finally squeezed
ourselves to Comdex and bought a Buffalo router. We went back to Kwai Fong
after that. Tung Tung was waiting for us.

day. I have a late meeting today and have left the office at almost 8pm.
We met Julie on the ferry and decided to go to Lung Wah tonight for dinner.
I called ahead and ordered 2 煲仔飯 on the ferry
and when we arrived, the hot pot rice were waiting for us! Delicious!
Kevin is coming tomorrow night to fix Julie's new computer. It has a
problem of going on line... so I guess we will have late night tomorrow again!

We started 2007 by being late to breakfast with Alan's Mom
& Dad. We
agreed to meet at 9am in Sampan. And when I was waking up to attend to a
call, it was 9am!!! It was Julie whom didn't know what happened as I
should be calling her down to breakfast.
We went hiking again in the afternoon with Kevin, Milly &
Julie. This time, we walked the same path as we did on Xmas and then went
further down to Sham Wan, the beach where the sea tortoises hatch every year
between Jun to Oct. We walked and have a very nice hike. Went home
at around 6pm and we 打邊爐 at our roof. We have
food and wine and chatted and ate the night away. Milly & Kevin have just
left to catch the last ferry out. Very tired now.. got to rest though...

end of 2006. We went 飲茶 @ Sampan and then we
helped Julie to install her new computer. We have got a couple of coffee
coupons with expiry on today. We decided to go our to use them and then go
grocery shopping on the way back. So we sat with Alan's mom & dad and
Julie in Pacific Coffee for almost 1.5 hours chatting this and that.

We
went to watch 007 in the new PP AMC today. Very nice decorated. I
love it. Alan still prefers IFC though. The movie is surprisingly
good. It's indeed very good. A full 145-minute excitement. The
new Bond, Daniel Craig is indeed quite good looking, in a very masculine way.

Merry X'mas!!! Today we went hiking again on Lamma.
Kevin & Milly joined us. We started at around noon in Sok Ku Wan. We
have a very nice walk! And the beach we passed through today is a beach we
have never been to all these years on the island!! It's an absolutely
gorgeous beach!
We end up eating our 'late lunch' in Han Lok Yuen, renown
for her roast pigeon. We have a very relax and quiet lunch. We
walked further up to the windmill and then down back to Yung Shue Wan. We
end the day by sitting in Waterfront rooftop to have beer and french fries!
A very nice day!

after I started my website. Tung Tung was still in my place today and we
went 飲茶this morning with Julie. After that, we
went hiking in Lamma with the dogs.

home... I was on the verge of throwing up.. yuk.. I could hardly breath.. and
felt dizzy. So horrible.. better go sleeping soon... hmmm..

Alan told me that Mikael asked why there were just 2 pictures (for our hiking on
last Sunday). Lazy ma! Give me a couple more days la. Very busy

今天大概三點鐘,，屋企對面個垃圾房火’足’，很大火，好似係一ｄ機器燒著了，因為有機油，所以火好快便很大。消防隊大概四五分鐘內到場，大概射了十幾廿分鐘，火便熄了。Pippen是十二月三日生日的，回葵芳前買了個Mango
Chocolate芝士蛋糕。吃完飯後叫何炘曈幫手拿蛋糕出去，她唱了生日歌，然後自己吹熄了支Candle!!
Raymond 前兩日俾了一條白色的公主裙，今天拿了給她，所以她很開心，很high!!

Today is the last day of Nov
06... 2007 is just a month away! Time really flies! I have today
changed the look of my home page again. I used one of the first pic drawn
by Tung Tung. Add the review page (literally a page only.. content to be
followed) I talked about.. will update it with contents later by this week.
Today is also my last Mandarin class. We took the final exam!

Today we went cycling in
Shatin. We at first went to Ma On Shan as Alan remembered that there was a
place in Ma On Shan where we could rent a bike and then return it at Tai Wai
etc. It was about 10 years ago! Turn out the whole place was
changed, undoubtedly la. No sight of any bike shops. We walked
around the place for almost an hour!! And we have to resolve in going back
to Shatin. We cycled for around 3 hours. Nice day and nice weather.
We went home around 7pm as
we have got a friend coming on the island, Keviin. We have had
羊腩煲 and 煲仔飯 again.

ICSS hosted a lunch for a
number of people including us who had been involved in a recent project.
Although we are on leave, we went as we have to have lunch anyway. We have
buffet lunch in Cafe on the 1st in Excelsior. Nice salad bar.
Afterwards. we went to Space Museum. Watch the iMAX movie made by Tom
Hanks. Quite nice indeed.

Too lazy tim! We
started our annual leave again yesterday. We went shopping in
黃金and Tsuen Wan. I have finally bought a new
mobile phone!!! It's a metallic black NEC N908!! This picture
is silver.. the black one is really
really cool. Thus I am playing around with this new toy and got no time
for other things yet. Bought it in Wilson Communication for only
HK$2,080.. come with it is a 512MB mini SD card (original was a 128MB) and a
screen protector!... not bad..
We went out to watch a movie
called 'Step Up'. A dance movie. Surprisingly good! It's hip
pop + ballat.. 歌勁舞好睇，男女主角雖然唔出名，但討好... By the way..

Not been feeling very well
yesterday.. This week has not been a good week. Murphy's Law - whatever

Time flies! Can't
believe it's Friday again! Today, we have lunch with Aloysius, a long-time
friend who now lives in Sydney and have a happy family there. He is
visiting HK for business for 2 weeks and then a few more weeks vacation!

for Kevin and Mikael who trail -walk this year again. Alan is obsessed
with Trail Walker. He can talk with you endlessly for days for this
subject. We raised some funds for the team.. And Alan has been calling
Kevin to show his encouragement, in his way.

Today, the company I work
for has a charity sales. It's a frequent event that everyone is waiting
for. This time, we have bought a Nikon S6 camera for $500, a little damage
on the outside but otherwise okay. Cheap deal. I have also bought a
shirt and a dress.

A lovely
day. Cool, dry and sunny. Alan had been a hiking maniac when he was
young. Now he still hikes, but very slowly - positively speaking is that
he is enjoying the surroundings. He told me yesterday that he still has
plan to participate Oxfam's Trail Walker (he had trail-walked for 4 years)...
let's see. Our friend, Kevin & Mikael are walking this year again.
They are team 轆落山 (663). Starting time 12:30noon

Another happy thing is that
Alan's computer is okay now. We spent 2 nights fixing this and that,
finally, it seems that it was the SATA socket.. unusual, but after I plug the
harddisc to other SATA sockets, it works well. Strange.. anyway, it's okay
now.. Amen....

Garfield's
favorite line, "I hate mondays!" Alan's computer has suddenly played
dumb. It was normal yesterday and when he was trying to boot it up, it
gave him blank screens! Still can't find what's the root cause... probably some setting
problem.. tried to clear the Bios setting by resetting jumpers and it got okay
for a second and then I chose to reboot it and it became un-responsive again.
No time today.. have to deal with it tomorrow...唉!

Tonight
we, Alan, Julie and myself, went to Lung Wah (in Lamma) for dinner.
We ordered our favorite dishes, mutton hot pot 羊腩煲
and hotpot rice 煲仔飯 . Yummy yummy!
The mutton hot pot here is the best 羊腩煲 we
have ever tasted. If you would come to Lamma Island, make sure you would try the 羊腩煲 in Lung Wah
Restaurant. Just HK$98 ... a big big pot. It's good enough
for at
least 4 people. We brought a bottle of red wine, chit chat and
gossip for over an hour. Nice dinner!
I have redesigned

We
went celebrating Julie's birthday with other colleagues and friends tonight. We ate a lot,
laughed a lot. There were 2
jokes which made us laughed into tears...

Today I have attended a cocktail hosted by
some hoteliers in Lan Kwai Fong. Still remember I tripped and hurt my knee
real bad last time I went to the same place a couple months ago. Hurt
liked hell and I still got the scar on me. I like attending these
cocktails and get acquainted with hoteliers from all over the world. You
never know when you will need to leverage the relationship.

very windy day. Just now, we went to Alan's mom's place for dinner.
Just right in front of her house, we saw a centipede, about 8 inches long!!
Horrible! Alan stepped on it a few times to
kill it. On the island, whenever people (mostly men la!) see ones, we kill
them, otherwise they will become a threat to the elders and children.

Halloween.. found this piece of brief information telling us the origin of
Halloween:
goes
back more than 2,000 years. The earliest celebrations of Halloween were among
the Celtic people who lived in the areas which are now Great Britain and
Northern France.
The Celts were people who
worshiped the beauty of nature. They worshiped a Sun God and believed that
without him, they would not live. They also worshipped Samhain who was the lord
of the dead and of the cold, dark winter season. They believed that on October
31 Samhain would call together all of the dead and these souls would take on the
shape of an animal. They believed that all creatures wandered the Earth on that
night. This was called the Vigil of Samhain.
The Druids, which were the priests
of the Celtic people, would build fires on the hilltops
in belief
that the large fires would help to strengthen the Sun God,
and give him power enough to overcome the lord of darkness so that the sun
season could continue. They believed that the fires were sacred, therefore they burned dried crops and
sacrificed animals to help strengthen the Sun God. At midnight they stop
worshipping the Sun God and start to worship Samhain because he will be the
ruler for the next six months. This is the starting of the new year. They
perform ceremonies through the night to ask the spirits to tell the future of
the upcoming year. In the morning each household receives an ember from the
fire, this ember is used to start fires in their own homes with the belief that
it will ward off evil spirits in the new year.
The Celts continued with their
ceremonies until they were conquered by the Roman Catholics. The Roman Catholics
brought with them their own customs and traditions. They had established All
Saints Day or All Hallows Day on November 1. This was a day in which all saints
who did not have their own declared holiday were honored. The church had hoped
that by establishing this holiday, it would do away with the Vigil of Samhain
and the other ceremonies and celebrations held on October 31 through November 1.
But this was not so. Soon witchcraft came about, and October 31 was renamed
Night of the Witch. It was believed that the devil and all of his followers
(demons, witches) would come out on this night to perform unholy acts to make a
mockery of the All Hallows Day celebration. These ceremonies and celebrations
continued and October 31 was then called All Hallows Even. It was a night for
superstitious beliefs and mystery. Through the years the name was shortened to
Hallowe'en and then to Halloween.

Christopher Boone is autistic but a genius in solving arithmetic/mathematical
problems and hates things in yellow and brown. He has a lot of funny
'theories'. I particularly remember one probability problem. Wait

To
prepare for our Taiwan hiking trip, we planned to go practice every week
till our trip. We went from home to Pak Kok Village and came back.
Takes about 3 hours usually. On the road this time, we met a new
friend, a Labrador named Jennifer. She followed us since Tai Peng
Village. I thought she's living around and came out to play.
She had a dog tag on her collar with her name and a couple of tel numbers.
She kept us company until we reached home. We tried to lead her to
the road back to Tai Peng but she insisted to stay. She didn't know
how to get home! Alan eventually called one of the numbers on the
tag and found her owner. He came and picked her up later. What

still developing. Thus wearing glasses now might have a chance to
correct her lazy eyes and when she became older, she could decide whether
to wear glasses but if we did nothing now.. she would definitely need an
aid. Tung Tung likes purple and pink and we chose a pair of ClickBuz
from Italy. A beautiful pair of frames. Tung Tung is so thrill
about it. She really loves the glasses.
Olympic Day
again ^v^.. stayed home watching the last day of this Game... I really
think it's the greatest game of all. Probably it's the time zone.
And secondly it's because it's HERE! For some, which I think is
in-excusable, unexpected reasons, I have to facilitate some training.
I am no trainer so have to spend extra time for preparation.
However, I have been extremely busy these days as a new program is
launching and I have 2 markets to go along with the implementation.
So I have just started to have TTT last week an

start really work on it a couple days ago. Fortunately and
unfortunately, Gale Nuri was here and I have got a few more days to spare.
So have to spend a few hours today to go over things again. Oh by
the way, Tung Tung called this morning at around 11:30am.. she told me
that mama (my mom) was not feeling well yesterday night and she has stayed
awake to 'watch' her. I talked to mom, she's okay and we were both
touched by Tung Tung. She was indeed looking after mama and said to
take her to see a doctor at midnight when her pain didn't go away.
She's only 5.. and I am thinking that I was sort of retard when I was 5...
hehe
Today
is Olymphic day! We have not even stepped foot outside.
Staying home watching the games and at the same time I am doing research
for our Nov France trip. Quite good.. I have decided to go Champagne
instead of Red this time. As Reims is a lot closer to Paris than
Bordeaux or Burgundy, Will update more on my

and see what it has got. Finally got a pair of Columbia.. no Goretex
nor Omni-tex.. just a normal light weight hiking shoes. Quite nice
indeed. And then we walked for a little more while and found this
beautiful knife! It's a Kyocera Advanced Ceramic knife.. the one I
bought is all white... even the handle is white.. so beautiful. It
is the most expensive utensil I have in my kitchen (except those electric
appliances of course).. the knife was originally $898, or so it claimed...
now it is $698.. still very expensive .. but it feels so great .. I tried
in the demo counter and it cut ginger, very hard vegi very easily... So I
have it now. I tried to use it this evening .. .wow..

Tonight we
have LPC dinner again. Teddy is in town and 11 of us came out to
have dinner in Central together. A very good catch up with everyone.
We agreed to come out again with kids before Teddy goes back to Sydney.

have been talking about personal brand and it really takes time to build
one of your own... I believe I have one (LPC of LPC!!! haha)....hmmmmm...

Breathless is really breath-taking. The theme song Breathless a
must-listen... and Melt the Snow can really melt you... on and on... a
very good looking young man with a beautiful voice.... And 6 of us are
heading off to Thailand tomorrow! Will have another update on Feb

very exciting, got the chance to see my DRs and leaders. Linda, a
colleague, happens to be in Sydney staying with her family and we will go

Birthday!!
! Got another
business trip to go, Sydney this time, before the year ends. Will be
quite a trip. Sil (Alan's boss) invited me to stay at her 'ranch'
for the weekend. I want to go to Hunter Valley with my Japanese
girls... and most of all, I wish that the Sydney/HK flight can be
confirmed on the Saturday before X'mas so that I can take a few days off
to visit Da Lo and Margaret in Auckland! Let's see!
prices. We bought eventually a oven (a beautiful stainless steel
oven), a new rice cooker and a dessert making machine. Wow a lot of
toys to play with! I am as I speak making a lemon blueberry cake!
Today
I went to the dentist to have my right lower wisdom tooth pulled out!!
Scary.. very scary! The tooth wouldn't give in and thus the dentist
have to do a small surgery! It was the scariest moment of my life!
Today we
went watching Transformers the movie with Pippen. Great exciting
one. Pippen's friend said that it's the best movie of the Century!
Alan didn't like it very much.. guess he's not a fan. Me & Pippen
found it amazingly great! Well, I always like watching big movies
with a lot of effects. This one has got all the Spielberg's
elements. U just have to see it for yourself.
My boss'
boss Kirsty is in town. I went with her to Stanley yesterday morning
and then The Peak in the afternoon. It was a very sunny and bright
day and even though I live here, I still finds the views spectacular and
unbeatable. At night, we have had dinner with Jean, one of the best
leaders we have never had in HK. He is leaving for Canada and we
grabbed the chance to have a gathering with him. 
Got
a product launch party today Very funny! Watched 'House' tonight and it
again was a very touching story. A 6-old boy was dying and all the
docs had had no clues on what was killing him. I like the sarcastic
nature of Dr House.

came back on Friday! My mom's place is having a paint job and thus we
dined out instead. I have purchased tickets to watch Spiderman 3 on
Sunday.

now! I have almost given up and wanted to take the MB to Asus.
I tried one last time today after the advices from my 2 computer expert
consultants, Kevin & Pippen. I pulled the RAM, dusted them
carefully. In short, it works now after I have plugged the RAM
back!!! Since I lost my wallet, now I
have replaced my Octopus & ferry monthly ticket. I have yet to
replace my

The weather has been too humid.. my computer simply refused to boot!
I have given up trying and wait for 1 day
when my mood comes then to try to fix it..
Out of luck.. I tried to boot it again today
although I was extremely tired today.. it worked!! the lovely beet
sound was there! I have to setup the bios again.. probably the
motherboard was short because of humidity and/or dust who knows... I will
blow dry it this weekend! Yeah yeah!

I have my 1st meeting with my colleagues in my new team! It was
exciting! They are from HK of course, India, Japan & Australia!
12 of us including myself spent an hour talking about our likes.
This is a team which would laugh with me and I have already liked them a
lot! Today I have also started writing my favorite album/music..

Rumor day..
rumor says that marketing has changes again! Alan is having a dinner
gathering with colleagues & friends so I went home myself. Cooked myself a
bowl of delicious noodles with crab meat, vegie sausage, fried egg + vegetable!

was here yesterday night so we went yum cha this morning with Julie & Esther.
I felt like barbeque today! Very cold and sunny. Barbeque on the
beach
was
the no. 1 pass-time. It was only me & Alan. I normally like to grill
fresh bread so I made a dough with flour and beer! We headed to the beach
at around 4pm. Under the sun, it was indeed hot! After the sun went
down, the air quickly cooled down and by the time we left at around 8:30pm, it
was freezing cold. For the 1st time, we didn't bring any canned drinks.
Instead, Alan bought his beloved gas stove and we made tea! Hot tea +
barbeque... yummy@!

I have received a lot
of congratulations this couple of days. Out of which, I am the happiest to
hear from a colleague whom I knew some years back when he was sent to HK for
training in my team. He is a very nice man and after he went back to
Tokyo, we stayed in touch for a while and he had helped me a couple of times.
Then he told us that he was leaving to further his study. Now my change of
role announcement has found its way to him and he surprised me by sending me his
congratulations over! He is now still working in the company and ask me to
visit him if I were in Tokyo! and you bet I will! He is indeed
sitting next to the colleagues in my team in Japan!

4 nights. The famous Snow Festival is going to be from Feb 6 - 12 so we

call, it was 9am!!! It was Julie whom didn't know what happened as I
should be calling her down to breakfast.

dumb. It was normal yesterday and when he was trying to boot it up, it
gave him blank screens! Still can't find what's the root cause... probably some setting
problem.. tried to clear the Bios setting by resetting jumpers and it got okay
for a second and then I chose to reboot it and it became un-responsive again.
No time today.. have to deal with it tomorrow...

very windy day. Just now, we went to Alan's mom's place for dinner.
Just right in front of her house, we saw a centipede, about 8 inches long!!
Horrible! Alan stepped on it a few times to
kill it. On the island, whenever people (mostly men la!) see ones, we kill
them, otherwise they will become a threat to the elders and children.

and give him power enough to overcome the lord of darkness so that the sun
season could continue. They believed that the fires were sacred, therefore they burned dried crops and
sacrificed animals to help strengthen the Sun God. At midnight they stop
worshipping the Sun God and start to worship Samhain because he will be the
ruler for the next six months. This is the starting of the new year. They
perform ceremonies through the night to ask the spirits to tell the future of
the upcoming year. In the morning each household receives an ember from the
fire, this ember is used to start fires in their own homes with the belief that
it will ward off evil spirits in the new year.

breath-holding series! We have only made it to ep.6!!
