Chateau de Jaulny, Jaulny Neither of us had visited nor stayed in any castle or chateau. Thus when I was doing research, I made sure at least one of the nights would be a chateau. I found Chateau de Jaulny. It's in an extremely small village locates very remotely from the main road. If not for our GPS (thanks Peter for lending it to me!), we would definitely never find it. It's on the top of a small hill. and the first picture below is the entrance. Wow, 13th Century! And Anna, our host, explained that it's from her family and used to be a private museum. She took over and tried to run a B&B business with it. We took dinner there and had it in the ancient dining room with a lot of antiques surrounding us. Sleeping in the rooms were an experience too. Apart from the cold look from the outside, it was indeed very warm and cozy inside the tower. Anna, our host, is a very friendly French lady. We coincidently met her again in Printemp in Nancy!
